Chaskaas - Tower Hamlets
Sadek Ali I was recommended this place for dinner after my friends went there previously so I thought I’d give it a try.
If I’m not mistaken it is a family run Pakistani Cuisine restaurant that offers both takeaway and dine in options.
It’s not a massive restaurant but there is plenty of space for large groups but definitely book a table in advance.
There is a large variety available on the menu with emphasis on grilled foods.
We went for the 3-4 people Mixed Tawa for 3 people and we had to take some home because of the quantity.
The food is made to order so you will have to wait a bit for it to come out so getting there on time and ordering sooner rather than later is advised as like I said previously it is a family run business.
But what I will say is the wait is worth it. I’ve had a lot of mixed grills in my time and their take on spices and flavours is unique to the traditional mixed grills you get around London. The meats are very tender and juicy and enthused with the oils and spices in the tawa.
I will say it is a bit greasy just because it is on a tawa but this absorbed into the naan adds a lot of depth and doesn’t end up being too heavy.
Overall the food is very good and it’s a spot I would return back to on a regular basis. I would give it a try if you’re in the area or looking for something new.
