5 /5 Camille Aguilar Reinat: Wonderful experience at Mitre. W went on Monday night. Arriving before 7, the restaurant was very quiet, pretty romantic atmosphere. Way more animated when we left by 8:45 but still amazing atmosphere.
The food was amazing. It was pie week, so we ordered one (we asked for oxtail but get chicken instead but anyway it was amazing. Very juicy, well cooked, perfectly balanced with the leek, tarragon and kale. Came with purée and gravy). The pie menu included beverage. We also shared a wonderful chicory and pear salad (great mix) and a burger (really good meet and cheese, but we would have liked more vegetables in it for freshness and harmony).
For beverages they offer many non alcoholic options (6 differents bottle beers including German style wheat beer, lager beer, stout beer and sour) unalcoholic mojito (which was excellen), unalcoholic Spirits and different softs (large option of Fever tree tonics and ginger beer) as well as alcoholic drinks like tape beer, bottles, wines, spirits, cocktails etc...
For dessert we shared the apple and blueberries crumble. The mix of fruits was amazing, almost tasted like hot wine. Apple super well cocked so theyre sweet, caramelized and soft. We combined with black tea (came with milk, as we like).
The place is really warm (both literally and figuratively), service is good, music is nice and not too loud. We would definitely like to come again
