The Golden Chip of Hanwell - (Near Kensington and Chelsea, london)

5 /5 Vinna: Love this place! Enough for two people to eat. It’s a proper family owned chip shop and you can tell they put real care into everything. The fish was so fresh with a light, crispy batter, and the chips were golden and fluffy, just how they should be. Portions are generous and made fresh to order. The family running it are so friendly and welcoming, it honestly feels like you’re popping round to a friend’s. Definitely my go-to for fish and chips for when I am at that side of town.

5 /5 Cinnamon Freak: Forgot to review this last month, so heres my review. Popped down while I had some business locally - wasnt actually intending to go there, but hunger got the better of me (as per usual). Anyway - ordered a small cod and prerequisite chips. Service was quick and efficient. Would have been nice to have a small carrier bag to chuck it in as the package was quite hot though. To be honest, I wasnt expecting it to be up to much by the time I got it home through the rush hour traffic 30 mins later, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious! Cod was flakey and quite firm, but not slushy (as sometimes happens when you cant get to eating it immediately) and the batter was still crispy. Chips also survived quite well, and were also yummy. Id get food from here again quite happily. Nice old school chippy!

5 /5 Annie O: This is our go to place when I travel to see my family, it’s been my brother’s local & favourite chip shop for over 20 years! Owner is an amazing guy and very welcoming and friendly. The food is always fresh and chips are perfect. Noticed some reviews mentioning the price increase! This isn’t his fault so doesn’t deserve the 1 stars! Living costs have rocked, wages have gone up! Overall this place is by far the best fish & chips I’ve had and I go to a lot. I would have done a 10 star if google allowed me to.

1 /5 Gavin Mathews: Been here a few times and it’s generally been a pleasant experience, but today I ordered a small portion of chips and it was comically small (smaller than the span of my hand) for £3.50 or whatever. I know the recent budget is set to increase taxes but I didn’t realise they’d be taxing our chips too!

5 /5 Michael Gatzoulis: The best Fish & Chips in London! We had haddock and scampi this time, super-fresh/crunchy and tasty, with Argi the owner and his Team always welcoming and with a big smile. A must visit of this authentic place if you are in the Hanwell area. Right opposite, The Little Wonder of Hanwell serves excellent coffee, home made cakes and bread. Thank you.
