1 /5 Tahmidur Rahman: Service was okay overall, though I did have to clarify my order a couple of times as it didn’t seem fully understood at first. I ordered cod and chips along with a battered sausage for takeaway.
When I opened the box, the presentation was quite underwhelming as it didn’t have the usual appetising look you’d expect from a traditional chippy. The cod in particular was disappointing: although it had just been fried fresh, the batter looked pale and lacked the usual crisp texture. The bottom was soggy, and the overall taste and appearance suggested that something might have been off with the batter.
A shame, really, as the food was freshly cooked, but the quality and texture didn’t live up to expectations.
