3 /5 Noémie Bruel: Lovely terrace for a sunny day and nice atmosphere overall, but that is pretty much it. Unfortunately far from meeting expectations. Food was extremely salty - the fish was barely enjoyable, service was extremely slow on the terrace (when restaurant was pretty quiet): we had to stand up and go ask/grab them 3 times. Finally, we had mentioned it was one of us’ birthday, nothing was done, quite disappointing.

4 /5 Terence Ayres: Great little Gastro Pub with excellent service. The Oarsman delivers tasty food and represents good value in a town packed full of foody options, where you can easily pay more, for less. I can recommend the Bavette Steak, a house special, which was cooked perfectly. Great place for lunch after a morning shopping in Marlow.

5 /5 Henry Curran: An excellent meal - thank you. I scored 4 on service as it took a while for our order to be taken at first, but once taken everything came quickly and efficiently. Service was very friendly throughout. Also I scored 4 on ambience as where we were sitting - by the serving hatch - was very hot due to the heat lamps keeping the food warm otherwise it was very comfortable and a pleasant restaurant to be in. The food was superb - especially the pork chops - and we’ll be back!

5 /5 Jon Kerry: Fantastic grub. Good wine choice at reasonable prices. Awesome service especially from the young girl with curly brown hair that had only been there a week or so. Attentive and engaging with well cooked and well portioned food, can’t ask for more!!! Walked out of the tap and came here instead…. Best choice
