5 /5 Tyler Morrissey: We visited The Orangery at RH England last night to celebrate my partner’s 31st birthday, and from the moment we arrived, it was nothing short of magical.
We travelled from Nottinghamshire, and as soon as we pulled up to the gates, we both just looked at each other and said, “wow.” The building is absolutely breathtaking — something straight out of a movie. Seeing it illuminated at night made it feel even more special. It’s grand, elegant, and truly unforgettable before you’ve even stepped inside.
The interior is just as spectacular. Every room, including the bathrooms, is beautifully decorated with stunning architecture, breathtaking artwork, and gorgeous furniture. The atmosphere is warm and calming, with music at the perfect volume — present but not overpowering. Dining surrounded by such beauty makes the entire experience feel luxurious and unique.
For food, we started with the Chinese-style chicken salad, which was fresh and full of flavour. For mains, we both chose the charred ribeye steaks, served with French fries and charred asparagus — cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. We also shared the Branzino, which came out alongside our mains and sides. It was beautifully presented, tender, and packed with flavour — a standout addition to the table. To finish, we shared two vanilla ice creams and homemade cookies, which were the perfect sweet ending to the evening.
The service truly made the night even more special. Our waitress, Nicole, was fantastic — professional, friendly, helpful, and full of joy. She made us feel completely looked after from start to finish. All of the staff we encountered, including those who greeted us outside, were so welcoming and attentive. You’re genuinely made to feel important and valued here — a true 10/10 service experience.
What stood out most was that they remembered it was my partner’s birthday from the booking. We didn’t have to remind anyone — as soon as we gave our reservation details, the staff wished him a happy birthday. It’s the little touches like that which make such a difference.
Overall, The Orangery at RH England is not just a restaurant — it’s an experience. The setting, the atmosphere, the food, and the service all come together to create something truly special. It was the perfect place to celebrate such an important occasion, and we will definitely be returning.
