4 /5 David James Clark: We (husband wife and 5 y.o) had a fantastic time here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I think their names were Christina and Izzy? Anyway, very nice.
We had the fish and chips and it is honestly the tastiest Ive ever had, even beats our favourite fish and chip shop. The fish was chunky and fleshy and very fresh. The home made tartare sauce was incredible, I dont usually eat it, but I had a whole small pot of it.
The locals were very inviting and nice to talk to (thank you Frank).
The location is great, adjacent to a delightful reasonably sized pond, complete with a variety of ducks/wild birds.
Dogs are welcome in the pub too.
Would highly recommend this to anyone in the area, or planning on a stop if passing through. Would certainly visit again.
