Autumn Y Youre directed to a check in area upon arrival where you can drop off your stuff in a locker (free). Youll need to hand in your ID at that time to get a visitors pass. Following that, you make your way into the prison. Youll have to remove jackets/jewelry/extras, go through a metal detector, and get a pat down. Youre then led into the restaurant. Youll be sat, given time to look over the menu, and ask questions if needed. The environment itself looks like one of a regular restaurant, with the exception of plastic cutlery. The staff were partly in training when I was there, so they were decently chatty and eager to help with anything. They did try to upsell a decent amount, but that is probably in part to the training bit, in terms of learning how to work that in more flawlessly. Ordered a pork chop that came with soba noodles and a smashed cucumber salad. The food tasted good overall. They have their regular desserts as well as ones that are made by the inmates there (separate menu for these). So ask to see what those are to support them if youd like. When leaving, you will need to be escorted, so just be sure to ask for your host before you head out.

Mesi was incredibly welcoming, happy to give great options, and very friendly throughout our visit. Her service made the experience even better. Kat Really enjoyed the meal at the Reindeer cafe! They offer traditional canto style dishes at a very high standard. The charsiu was perfectly cooked with a good balance of fattiness and lean meat, with a subtle hint of sweetness from the honey. The roast duck was really tender and flavourful as well. The garlic choi sum was simple but delicious — well seasoned, not stiff or overcooked at all, and you can really taste the wok hei. Our highlight of the meal was the lamb hotpot, it was so tasty and the lamb literally just slides off the bone!! The portion size was generous so I’m glad that we brought some Tupperwares with us, wouldn’t want to waste any of this delicious food!! There’s a bakery in the cafe as well — we’ve particularly enjoyed the coconut peanut 糯米糍(mochi) and the egg tart. And oh! Don’t forget the milk tea too, which was made to perfection and perhaps even better than some of the 茶餐廳 I’ve been to in HK. Will definitely come back again for another meal!!

Damon Culley Dinner for four on a busy Saturday night, our first visit. Friendly welcome, spacious table and nice atmosphere. We shared a mixed starter, onion bhajis were crisp and tasty, chicken was very tender. Main course for me was Nehari Lamb - incredibly tender lamb in fabulous spicy spinach. The spice was medium to hot - really perfect taste of spice rather than just ‘hot’. Very fragrant fluffy pilau rice. All sensibly priced for an expensive height street location and we will be back!

Priya OV My friends introduced me to this place and it has been great. The decor is pretty, its busy most of the time and the food is so flavourful. I particularly like their Sucuk from starters, and Adana and Mousakka from the mains menu, the rice is so flavourful. Even the side salad dressing has great flavour. Cannot find the pictures of those. The complimentary bread offered initially is great too. The food has been so good I recommend friends to visit if they have a branch near where they live. I love the Kunafa from their dessert menu too. The waitress who served us was so kind enough to offer complimentary Turkish tea which paired well with the dessert.

Bernadett Balogh-Gál The best vegan burger so far I tried. Always friendly stuff, good service. The place is clean, kind of an industrial style. Love it!
