MARKET CAFE Restorant -

Rating: 4.2 /5
Dan J I’ve lived in Aylesham for three years now and regularly visit Market Cafe for their beautifully cooked breakfasts — always excellent quality and fantastic value for money. The owners are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. You can tell they genuinely care about their business; the cafe is always spotless, well-run, and has such a friendly atmosphere. Until recently, I’d never tried their roast dinner… and wow. It was absolutely fantastic. High-quality ingredients, perfectly cooked, generous portions, and again, superbly priced. My partner and I have already decided we’ll be coming back at least once a month just for the roast. Highly recommended!

Yat Hung Lee We have been coming here for a number of years and they never disappoint. Its clearly a family run business that produces lovely tasting and quality meals each time. They have also started to do Dim-Sum which we used to have to travel hours into London for. So happy that we can get out dim-sum fix only 20 minutes away. All the Dim-Sum is hand made by the owners and taste as good if it better than what you get on the London restaurants. Im so happy to support a family runs business that is also local and get amazing tasting food.

Jamie Shrubsole Such a wonderful place. All staff were attentive, friendly and really made us feel welcome. The food was absolutely amazing and the portion sizes were huge! Such good value for money. Will definitely be back to this hidden beautiful countryside restaurant.

Andrew Jackson Dinner at the Dog is more than gastro pub dining. It’s a fine menu with good locally sourced ingredients. Standout crab donut starter - rich crab meat in a small fluffy donut set in a bisque sauce. Excellent mains - quality meat (we tried the pork and the chicken) with creative presentation. Their take on tiramisu is fun and delicious. Good cocktails - especially for negroni fans. Short and well chosen wine list. Excellent professional and friendly service. This restaurant would hold its head high on the London dining scene. Definitely worth the trip to this lovely Kent village. The pub has comfortable rooms for an overnight stay.
