5 /5 lou burrows: Fantastic find. Was in a rush and asked waitress if I could have something fairly fast. Jacket potato and beans and cheese with delicious salad. I asked for takeaway box as running out of time. Fantastic waitress, great food and service.

3 /5 Lisa Gwennap: Weve eaten here once before and the breakfast was very good. We visited again 21st Feb 26 at 9:30am and it was very quiet, but nice. The guy, I presume the manager, asked if we wanted the breakfast special, then told us in detail what the special was. We were then left to ponder for a further 5 minutes. When the waitress took our order, I asked her to repeat the ingredients in the special, as Id struggled to absorb all the information the first time (age related foggy brain); she went and asked the manager for clarification, which is fine. What did upset us however was the response from the manager. We could clearly hear him moaning and sounded irritated as to why we needed to be told the ingredients again, when hed already gone through the special with us in detail. We felt it wasnt fair for the waitress to be spoken to like that in a raised voice and I was made to feel bad by the manager for asking for information to be repeated. When the food did finally arrive, which was a very long wait considering the cafe was quiet, the plate was cold which meant the mushroom sauce was cold. The bubble and squeak, bacon and egg however were lovely and hot. The breakfast was really lovely apart from the mushroom sauce that didnt suit the dish at all. My husbands English breakfast was delivered with scrambled eggs when fried eggs were ordered. By the time his breakfast was returned, Id eaten my meal. I would highly recommend the food, but whilst the manager was very polite and kind to our faces, I didnt appreciate his tone behind our backs. I didnt like how he called his waitresses girls either, they have names. No one asked us about allergies. I would eat there again as the food was lovely but.......

5 /5 Kate Swanson: I had lunch at The Sip in Lewes today and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and perfectly portioned. The service was just as good — we felt genuinely looked after, and the chef even came out to check in with us, which was such a lovely touch. Everything about it felt welcoming and thoughtful. Honestly one of the best places to eat in Lewes.

5 /5 Angela Ayios: Just a lovely place to eat and relax in Lewes. Attentive and kind service, excellent food, a real local treasure. We chose fish fingers sandwich, Croque Monsieur and chicken poke. All were really good and very proudly presented to us. Well worth a visit.

5 /5 Stefano De Rigo: We had a delicious bubble and squeak meal at The Sip. The staff put care and passion in all they do, from the kitchen to their customer service, for a seamless experience. Great atmosphere and delicious food - have been here twice, and will definitely come back for more!
