5 /5 jon new: Had the 5 course taster menu today with some treats in between. It was delicious every single item was perfectly cooked with wonderful flavours and good portions for a taster menu. They definitely deserve their Michelin star. All the staff were a joy and service could not have been better. We live a good distance away but it was well worth the trek. I cant recommend it enough.

5 /5 Federico Montella: The restaurant fortunately keeps the sort of casual pub vibe which makes the contrast with the super refined food even more amazing. The food was just phenomenal. Super umami, but quintessentially British, just perfect. I do think they should improve the wine list - it’s very limited and most of all does not include natural wines which would be perfect with the type of food. The service was good, it could be excellent.

5 /5 S J: After driving almost an hour in the rain we weren’t in the best shape and we were seated in the dining room around 13:00 for a long lunch. Service was on the slower side but I’m quite familiar with the orchestration of the kitchen and felt it was needed. The menu is quite simple and you choose one from each course and go from there. The amuse bouche tickled our senses and whet our appetite for what’s to come. The bread service was delicious and the homemade butter had the right consistency and screamed homemade with the perfect hint of salt. First course which was the oysters in a cream sauce was absolutely divine. Next course which was the crab was the perfect transition from the slightly heavy sauced oysters and cut through any bit of residue left from the first course. My main was the chicken dish and it was a true delight with three different styles and each having very distinctive flavour and texture. We were served a pre-dessert flan which was perhaps the best flan I’ve had in a very long time. As a soufflé fanatic their Apple soufflé was a perfect end to this fabulous lunch. Their label of a gastropub doesn’t quite fit as they should be labelled with a fine dining experience. I don’t know how often the menu changes but we will do our best to book a table when it does. You won’t be disappointed here especially if you’re a true foodie.

5 /5 Kinga Stabryla: Food was all devine, the service was lovely, attentive and super responsive. We went to try the taster menu, which consisted of 5 things but we received 3 free things in the process of being there. The atmosphere is cosy and theres clearly a lot of appreciation for produce and local support inside. We werent rushed at any point. Lovely all around!
