5 /5 ruth kelly: During our visit to the UK from Cyprus, finding a great Sunday lunch is always on our agenda—and The Thatched Tavern exceeded all expectations. This charming restaurant, tucked away in Ascot, is an absolute gem.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome, and despite being fully booked, the service remained attentive and seamless throughout. The atmosphere was inviting, setting the perfect tone for a relaxing meal.
Now, onto the food. Every dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor in every bite. The roast was simply exceptional—so much so that when it came time for dessert, my husband made an unusual but telling choice: instead of something sweet, he ordered another Roast Beef! The staff told us it was a first for them, and it certainly was for him too.
