What Clients Are Saying The Townie Fox (GG)
5 /5 Beth Starling: Such a great find for dinner on their first weekend. The atmosphere had a buzzy, friendly energy, the service was spot on, and the food was delicious. The Padron peppers and sea bass were especially amazing, definitely two of my favourites!
I really can’t fault either the food or the service. Such a great addition to the area, and I’ll definitely be back!
5 /5 Sian Newman: We went to the Townie Fox on Valentine’s Day for the first time and it will not be the last.
Beautifully cooked food, lovely atmosphere, service and selection of drinks.
It was a perfect night and planning our return.
Beautiful decor with a lovely buzz. Watching the chefs cook was a delight.
Looking forward to try the Sunday roasts!
5 /5 Ty Lamarca: Lovely Sunday dinners at this establishment. Well seasoned and creamy cauliflower cheese, beautifully tender chicken. Don’t even get me started on the herby pig in blanket and buttery parsnips. Will definitely be becoming again. Thank you to Chef Ben and the amazingly attentive front of house staff. Lisa & Emily, you were fabulous!
4 /5 Louise Waring: We visited on a Sunday lunchtime which meant the menu was more limited to roasts and a seafood pasta dish, without the full kids menu but half price roasts for children with a free ice cream included for £10 which was a nice touch. Its a small place with a semi open kitchen and beautiful decor. The service was relaxed and friendly.
The beef was a little over done but still tender and seemed a nice quality cut, the gravy wasnt particularly rich but a lovely selection of vegetables and the side of pigs in blankets were delicious with a nice Herby sausage. I had the monkfish starter with a chorizo cassoulet which was delicious and faultless.
5 /5 Loraine Blakeney: Visited on the opening night last week. Service a bit chaotic as first night but charming nonetheless.
Great atmosphere, tables well spaced, friendly staff, great plaice dish, well priced wine list.
We will definitely be regulars - a great asset to Woodland Parade
Nick Simmons We’ve visited this pub a few times over the last few weeks. It’s much, much better than I remember. Yesterday I was looked after by Edie, as a family have got to know her quite well and one of the main reasons that we visit. She is always polite and full of beans. All the staff are great but Edie goes above and beyond, what a legend.
fairfield09 Despite it being the night before a new menu, so many items had been run down and werent available, the crispy haddock was delicious, great chips and minty mushy peas were well worth it. Great , friendly service. Dessert of blood orange posset, too much!! Really rich, wonderful flavour, the crystallised orange peel and tiny amounts of gel were excellent but the portion was too big for the richness, which was my only complaint!!
Leigh Great food with quality ingredients at a most reasonable price. Excellent friendly service which made us feel really welcome and a lovely vibe. Cant go wrong here and we will definitely visit again soon.
