5 /5 Pub Reviewer-UK: Food here was fantastic, the staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive. We came here on a whim as we were passing with some friends and it was easy for both of us. I’m so glad we did, we had a late lunch but this didn’t affect the standard of the lunch. I went for something I usually don’t, but being so close to Christmas I wanted something on the healthy side so I went for the plaice and it was full of flavour and nice and delicate. My wife went for Steak, so a bit of a role reversal and she said it was cooked to perfection. I only had non-alcoholic beers so couldn’t say what their beer selection was like.

5 /5 Linda Bell: Outstanding Sunday lunch, friendly atmosphere and great staff. Want to give the chef maximum recognition. Great meat roast selection and my chestnut roast was so delicious. This was a last minute late Sunday lunch outing. We had seating out of the main restaurant in a cozy benched area behind the bar. It was busy so did have to wait a while for the food to come but it was worth the wait.

4 /5 Sally Joy: Came out for a girls night - 7 of us all together. Its a lovely venue. The food was good. The staff were friendly and gave a warm welcome however service was super slow. The restaurant wasnt busy but we had to wait a while for menus to be given. It took a long time for our food order to be taken and for the food to arrive. We asked for parmesan for some of the dishes, they didnt have any but provided cheddar instead. They forgot to give us mayo and ketchup so had to find a member of staff to get it as there was no one around. One of the girls is vegan - the dessert options were poor. She requested olive oil to dip her sourdough bread but didnt have any so gave a different oil but didnt tell us what it was. It felt a bit amateur in terms of service and availability of basic ingredients. It was a nice evening but would think twice about booking again.
