Gosia Śka This place is always a delight! (This was not our first visit to The Rising Sun). Dinner for 3 with food and wine. Our dishes tasted amazing. Everything was hot, nicely presented and well seasoned. The service was very friendly and professional. Lana, who looked after our table was very kind and cheerful. The ambience was warm and welcoming. Thank you ❤️

Joe Audcent Really enjoyed the Thai Green curry, which they were happy to swap aubergine for peppers which I was pleased about and shows the food is freshly cooked to order. Very friendly service and the banana fritters were delicious. Haven’t had these for years so such a nice treat! With the friendly service, the very clean and comfortable dining area and so many dishes to choose from this has to be one of my favourite Thai restaurants.

Nora Mohamed I love the place! Great atmoshere, great food, and frindely staff. We ordered falafel wrap and tea with mint , it was so delicious. Also, I got flat white , it was very good. I also recommend the vegetarian breakfast. Id love to come back and try other dishes.

Adian Alnaas Me and my husband bought 4 falafel and halloumi wraps today! Guess what? They were the best falafel wraps in the UK! ❤️ so tasty and were made with love. The place was nice and clean and the guy who is working there was very friendly with us.

H L-J Ive been eating at Afghan Flavours, Reading for circa 18 months now. I was introduced by my sisters friend and have kept coming back on my own, with a my sister or in small groups. Its very reliable, tasty, fresh and hot food. Family friendly. Very reasonably priced for the quality and freshness. You can see the kitchen from the counter too. Other reviews mentioning service speed need to show some patience. Freshly cooked and prepared food takes time and this is an increasingly popular establishment. I would describe as cafe style eating. Whether its the Channa Daal, Houmous, halloumi, chicken byriani, Qabuli chicken/lamb, chicken/lamb charsi karahi, Afghan style red kidney beans, Chaplin kebab paties, chicken or lamb or mixed tikka or lamb kofta - I recommend all. For drinks would recommend mint or green tea (loose tea) or mango lassi (glass or jug) or a fresh juice. I prefer to eat in, but take away is also available. A friendly and hardworking team. Paul Davey What a friendly atmosphere! The staff were brilliant. Sister Wish made me feel so welcome during Iftar! I had Nihari which was cooked to perfection….thick gravy,no oil….just beautiful and bursting with flavour! The portion size was huge! Wish also made the best Karak Chai! I’m definitely looking forward to making this one a regular of mine!
