5 /5 Helen Arapi: A lovely Toby carvery we found on a trip to Maidenhead. Really lovely atmosphere and layout. We had a lovely lady called Barbara who was so friendly and helpful to us and all the guests. I can see why she had so many regular customers she just had a natural way with people. Will definitely come back.

5 /5 Suzanne: I had a wonderful visit to Toby Carvery recently, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The food was hearty, fresh, and full of flavour — exactly what you want from a proper roast. The choice of meats was generous, perfectly cooked, and carved to perfection, while the vegetables were fresh and plentiful. The roast potatoes were especially delicious — crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right throughout the meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, ideal for both families and casual dining. It’s clear that the team really cares about providing a great experience. Overall, Toby Carvery offers excellent value for money, quality food, and a cosy, traditional setting. I’ll definitely be returning soon — it’s my go-to spot for a comforting Sunday roast!

2 /5 H: Food was average, what you would expect from a Tony Carvery and the price point. The meat was nice but hardly any veggies, no cauliflower cheese and the servery was disgusting. We booked a table but still had to wait 50mins before we were seated. Once seated it was a further 15mins before someone came to take our order, and we had to ask to be served. I was told (by the girl stood around doing nothing) that she couldn’t serve us but would get someone who could yet she took orders from other tables. Staff walked by tables that needed clearing and cleaning multiple times. At one point I counted 8 tables that needed cleaning and multiple staff just walking past. The bar was dirty and staff slow. The guy carving the meats was very nice and told us that they had 600 booked today but over 850 come through so I know they were busy but the cleanliness or lack of just isn’t acceptable. It strikes me that this venue is very popular but poorly managed. It wouldn’t take many organizational skills to really make it run like clockwork but something that is currently not happening.

5 /5 sneeha fernandes: I visited Toby Carvery with two residents from the care home where I work, and the experience was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The staff were extremely helpful as soon as we stepped in. Our server, BARBARA, was exceptional. She went above and beyond to assist us, from helping collect food from the counter for the residents to kindly escorting one of them as we were leaving. She even checked with her manager to see if the fire exit door could be opened so we could have a closer and easier exit to the car park. The service was brilliant and the food was very good as well. It made the outing much easier and enjoyable for us and the residents. We would definitely come back again.

5 /5 Rebeca Cunha: Great experience. The food was excellent, tasty, well-prepared, and very enjoyable. Special mention to our waitress, Bárbara, who provided outstanding service. She was friendly, professional, and communicated brilliantly, making us feel very welcome throughout the visit. Her professionalism really stood out and made the experience even better. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!
