5 /5 Anne B: We went to Toby carvery today 14th February 2026. The food was amazing, and in particular Chef Jaz invited us up to the Carvery and was so kind and courteous He was so sweet answering questions for my mum who kept repeating herself asking more questions but he was so polite. We came back for seconds because the vegetables were amazing and tasty! Thank you Chef Jaz for making us feel welcome and we will come back for more!

3 /5 Suzana M: This Toby Carvery used to be really nice and the food used to be amazing. Now it is very hit and miss and I accepted that every time I eat here I have to spend half an hour in the toilet as my stomach is not handling this food very well since the quality dropped. Today we went for breakfast (do the first time ever) and the food was okish but the lady on the till overcharged me and when pointed it out she was very relaxed about it. So relaxed she hasn’t even apologised. Hence the 2 star for the service. Otherwise the service is ok.

3 /5 David Mawson: My first time here today. Staff on duty not very attentive seemed to be more interested in chatting to each other than attending to guests. We had to ask to get service after we were seated. Anyway, carvery looked terribly dry. Food probably been there all day drying out. My friend had to ask for fresh roast potatoes as the ones on the carvery were rock solid. Impossible to eat them without a steak knife. Building is old and run down. Whole place could do with a refurbishment including the loos. Outside grotty too bits of rubbish everywhere. Not sure I would come back if this is indeed brand standard.

5 /5 Reece McCarthy: We had a fantastic experience at Toby Carvery recently, and a big part of that was thanks to our wonderful waitress, Lala. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, she was incredibly attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout our visit. What really impressed us was that she remembered our entire order without writing anything down — and even remembered exactly who had ordered what! That level of attention to detail is rare and made our meal feel extra special. Lala made sure we had everything we needed and checked in at just the right times, all while handling a packed restaurant with ease. Outstanding service and a great atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back!

5 /5 S H: Lovely food , freshly prepared and good portions , during weekdays the standard dish is £11.90 but We used a voucher from their app so we paid £6 each for the food instead which was so good what is disappointing is the drink was £4 each so it felt the price was a bit uneven Staff were friendly but as this was our first time in this place I felt lack of instructions , no one told us what to do and how it works as we kept sat on the table waiting for some to guide us !!!
