3 /5 Banks Cameron (Cam): We were really excited to try this place.
Walked into a beautifully presented restaurant, greeted at the door and shown to our table.
To start, we had the devilled prawns, egg hoppers with Seenie and Pol Sambol and it tasted excellent!
The mains unfortunately let it down a fair bit. Being Sri Lankan myself, I was extremely excited to try a taste of Sri Lanka, but unfortunately the mains just didnt deliver that.
We all agreed that something was missing in the flavour. The 4 curries we tried, all tasted very similar and slightly bland.
The Eggplant Moju was ridiculous as it was way too sweet, which is not authentic at all.
Saffron rice and string hoppers tasted good, would recommend them.
Excellent choice of drinks and cocktails, all of the waiters were extremely personable and charming.
I really hope this place does well as it is a great way to experience a small piece of South Indian/Sri Lankan cuisine. It just needs some work on the recipes of the curries that we tried.
Will definitely be back to try more.
