Motasim Mir Dawat Restaurant truly lives up to its name when it comes to food. The flavors are rich, authentic, and well-balanced, making every dish feel thoughtfully prepared. The spices are perfectly blended—not overpowering, yet full of depth—and the aroma alone is enough to make you excited for the meal. The portions are generous, and the quality of ingredients is evident in every bite. From the tender meats to the flavorful curries and freshly prepared breads, everything tastes fresh and satisfying. Dawat is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy delicious, traditional cuisine with consistent quality.

David Filipiak I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over a year, and every single visit has been a great experience. The staff is always incredibly welcoming, the food is consistently amazing, and the drinks never disappoint. The restaurant is very clean, the prices are more than fair, and the overall atmosphere makes you want to keep coming back. I highly recommend this place—until next time!

Tino M-Ze The restaurant is brand new just a little bit over a month old. The owner is so lovely and understanding. Went there for the first time yesterday. The food was going to take up to 30 minutes so the owner offer me a Malta Guinness while I wait. I politely declined but he was so persistent. The food was prepared well and it was authentic African food which I hadn’t had food from home in a while.

Stefan Johnson Great flavorful and spicy west African food. Pros: They had lots of different types of west African food really big portions, to be honest one portion conserve between two people at times. Food didnt take too long to prepare and was very attentive even though we had quite a few people at the time (8-9people). There wasnt a safe place to lock up while bikes outside, so the staff member was friendly enough to let her bikes in the bathroom so it didnt get stolen. This was a big plus! Cons: The only thing I can think of is some of the traditional west African drinks was not available even though it wasnt display. Plus you have to pay 50p per container if you want to take the food home, so bring your own Tupperware!

Jess M My mother and myself went for afternoon tea last Saturday. Service was excellent; everyone from the Maître d to all the wait staff were lovely and attentive. We were accommodated even though we didnt have a booking. For afternoon tea in such a beautiful location, the price was very reasonable. The only thing I miss is the unlimited champagne option they used to have. We will be back.
