5 /5 Brooke-Leigh Davis: Chels Caribbean Restaurant in West Wickham is an absolute gem! Everything I ordered was packed with flavour and clearly cooked with care. The jerk chicken was perfectly spiced and juicy, with that authentic smoky heat you want from proper jerk. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, the rice and peas were spot on, and the plantain was sweet and beautifully cooked. A special shout-out to the jerk spring rolls such a creative twist and seriously delicious. I also had one of their non-alcoholic punches, which was refreshing and full of tropical flavours, the perfect accompaniment to the meal. Great food, generous portions, and a real taste of the Caribbean. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

5 /5 Bakebox: I came in today to give their Sunday roast a go, as I’d seen it advertised on the window earlier in the week. Would’ve love to sit in and eat but had to be somewhere so I got a take away and I must say they definitely exceeded my expectations. I’m usually cautious when it comes to fusion restaurants because sometimes you loose the authenticity but i genuinely loved the meal, so much I finished it on the bus before I got to my destination. The jerk and the stuffing were my favourite and the portion size was really generous. Only concern I have is that it’s hard to tell when you’re open sometimes with the dimmed lights and shut doors. Overall good food lovely staff.

1 /5 Ronié Williams: Ordered takeaway last week. Will not be doing that again. Ordered large curry goat and a large jerk chicken Arrived late. The rice wasn’t correct for each dish. No salad in each. But the absolute audacity was the THREE pieces of goat I got in the £17.50 large meal. THREE pieces of chewy goat. Suffice to say will not be ordering from here again.

1 /5 M Jordan: I see this shop all the time and decided to order today. I order curry chicken which was on offer (buy one get one free). The food came and it was not sufficiently heated which I thought was odd as I’m just down the road. The chicken tasted sour. I’ve never had chicken that had that unique sour taste. The flavours were missing. Then I tasted the rice which also tasted funny. I realised once I gave the food a good sniff it was very expired. I order takeaway quite frequently, this was my first experience of eating rotten food. Really disappointing. Called them and I was advised to claim my money back. They did offer to send new food but I declined and they said they wouldn’t dispute the refund request. Hopefully we don’t all get ill within the next few hours.
