Café du Jardin - East Sussex

Rating: 4.5 /5
Jon Anderson We had a delicious brunch time snack at the cafe du jardin. The entrance way is unassuming but dont let that fool you, this rustic restaurant serves delicious bites and thirst quenching drinks in a relaxed and informal French cafe style both outdoor and indoor tables and believe me this place gets busy. Our server, Albie was an absolute gem, he worked hard to ensure no one was waiting, very attentive and capable. As you can see from my photos the food is excellent. However I wished I had ordered one of the tasting plates as they look fantastic.

wayne hemmings Really great place, thought the food choice were really good and not the run of the meal both pub menus. The food was also really good, 8 of use had 7 different menus items and every single person was really happy with their food. Not rushed at all and great staff as well.

RJS An amazing evening and dinner service at this great little gem in Lewes. The team were attentive, the food was stunning and we had a lovely time post meal in the bar too, following a chat with the head chef who was clearly passionate about creating a fabulous experience. We can’t wait until our next visit and we will be dreaming about the gnocchi!

Cafe Vegu - East Sussex

Anon Most of the food was exceptional. For me the stew was lacking flavour and the banana cake not indulgent, but the kimchi bimbap with ‘bacon’ fried rice (gorgeous), sesame cream latte (to DIE for), breakfast ‘army style’ beans (flawless)! Go, eat, enjoy.

Gardeners Retreat - East Sussex

Matthew Burdett The food is good quality at an affordable price. The full English breakfast was cooked near perfect. Bacon was a bit dry but otherwise fantastic for £6.99. Coffee is nearing overpriced at £3 for a latte.
