Chesham Cottage Chinese Takeaway - (Near Buckinghamshire, South East)

1 /5 Olivia Goodwin: Ordered takeaway just before 7pm and was quoted 8pm for collection. Stuck waiting in the restaurant until around 9pm so ended up having a late dinner once finally back home. Everything was basically lukewarm at this point so had to be reheated and then we realised that some of the dishes wed ordered were missing. So had to go back to the shop to pick them up. We also ordered the grilled pork dumplings. Menu says you should get 6 but we were given 5 pork dumplings and 2 completely different dumplings (I took a little bite and it tasted like prawn), presumably to make up for the lack of pork dumplings but we werent told about this nor did we ask for it??? Incredibly greasy and bland tasting. Finally, I ordered the szechuan chilli beef and it smelled absolutely foul, took a few bites and couldnt finish the rest. Awful service, awful food and overall a waste of money.

1 /5 Lauren Shaw: Unfortunately not worth the money. 40 minute wait for collection with only two dishes. Salt and pepper chicken tasted floury and soggy and for some reason had prawn crackers broken up at the bottom. Singapore noodles were mushy and wet, alright in flavour but all over very wet, didnt finish. Unfortunately wont be returning.

1 /5 ben morton: Absolute rubbish. Ordered a special curry. Beef, prawns and chicken. They obviously ran out of beef and prawns so I got carrot and mushroom instead. Wouldn’t have minded if the curry was nice but it was awful! Brown slop in a tray! Avoid!!!

2 /5 Simon Knight: Unfortunately we were disappointed with our takeaway. The crispy chicken was soggy, the crispy squid was the same and tasted overly fishy (fresh squid doesnt taste fishy). The aubergine dish was swimming in oil which we had to drain off before eating. All the food basically tasted the same Such a shame as the food used to be really good from here. Perhaps time to re-train your chef?

4 /5 Natalie Hobkirk: We’re new to the area and had some friends coming over and wanted to do a take away. We thought we’d give Chesham Cottage a try, and we were really impressed. Food was of great quality and lots of it. We had a big order and everything was there - and even though the gentleman on the phone said it was about an hours wait, and I asked if they could try and get it to us sooner, it came 30 mins earlier than expected. We will definitely get a takeaway from there again!
