4 /5 A A: We visited Coban Eltham and overall the food quality and taste were very good. We started with the mixed hot meze, which was nice, though on the expensive side. The mocktails were also very pricey for what you get. I had the Coban Special – it tasted very nice, but the ribs were quite small and the portion could definitely be more generous. More rice and a few extra items would improve it, and I’d also suggest presenting it on a more oval plate rather than the rectangular one, as it felt a bit cramped. The complimentary bread was great and a nice touch. The restaurant did feel a bit cramped during busy times, which affected the overall comfort. Overall, the quality and flavour of the food were excellent, but the portion sizes could be bigger to better match the price. Service charge.

5 /5 Camilla Aji: We had a superb time with a last minute lunch booking for over 10 of us. The platters were well worth it, food plentiful, service amazing and ambience on point! Still dreaming of their mixed grill.. nomnom!

5 /5 Mel Narin: I joined an event with a Turkish DJ and ordered from a set menu. The chicken shish was beautifully tender and delicious. Starters are also amazing. The music, atmosphere and the whole Turkish event that Arzu had arranged was absolutely wonderful and so entertaining. So worth every penny. Looking forward to the next Turkish music event. A special thanks to Arzu!

1 /5 Leo Johns: We had been wanting to try this place for a while, so we made the effort to call ahead, book a table, and then visit. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing right from the start. When we arrived, we were told there was no table available. We then explained that we had a booking, but before we could even finish explaining, two waiters stepped in and repeatedly said there were no tables available, without really listening to what we were saying. There was no attempt to check the reservation, no effort to understand the situation, and no sense of hospitality at all. At that point, it did not even matter how good the food might be. Basic courtesy and willingness to help are far more important, especially when a customer has taken the time to book in advance. This was not an online booking mix-up either, it was done over the phone, which makes the experience even more frustrating. Overall, it left a very poor impression. Good food alone is not enough if the service and attitude are lacking. Sadly, based on this experience, this is not a place I would return to nor would ever recommend.
