5 /5 Jacob Shapiro: This was a great first visit to freakscene, and we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. We’d really recommend getting a few cocktails whilst there - lots of options, all fantastic. Service was top, food delicious. We’re looking forward to going back soon and hopefully a few more vegan additions to the menu.

5 /5 Elika: A great restaurant with delicious dishes, great service, good music and a cool vibe. The cold dishes in particular were all brilliant and the service was outstanding. We got 7 dishes between 2 and we were very full. Outstanding if you have a dietary restriction, I was very grateful that they went through the whole menu and explained which dishes had milk and what substitutions they can make to accommodate me.

A few reviews here judge the price tag of the food. - it is worth noting that if you’re thinking of spending £30 / £40 per head, it’s not worth you coming here and limiting your experience. This restaurant is easy £60 - £80 per head if you’re planning on only drinking one cocktail / drink. The food: WOW. Everything is an experience. Really really tasty. It’s unique. I would easily rate the food 9/10 The drinks: some sophisticated cocktails and flavours. I had the “golden monkey” and I really enjoy it. You do need approx 3 - 4 dishes per person and they do cost £15 - £19 each. I would definitely come back and dine here again.

4 /5 Jun Yu Chen: Delicious intricate flavours. Dishes are tapas style and they recommend 3-4 per person so ends up being quite pricey but lovely for a treat. Was quite quiet up until around 8 pm with only one other table in the whole restaurant.

4 /5 Tiffany Ng: Crab wontons, wagyu sliders and the black cod tacos were very good. The pork ribs were fall off the bone but flavourless. Truffle fries were a bit underwhelming and greasy. But it was crispy. The condiments that came with it were good though. Cabbage was very vinegary if you like that. The fried sea bass was crispy but also bland. Very small portion sizes. Had to get about 7 dishes between 2 people. They recommend 6-8 dishes between 2 people. Pricey but we went on the 50% off day for food (not including drinks) so made it worthwhile. Disappointed that we didn’t get a table despite booking in advance and was sat at the bar. Not ideal to have a catch up with a friend plus eat. There are coat and bag hooks but not suitable if you have a long coat. The atmosphere is nice and it’s quite busy. Just think it was hard to feel comfortable for a meal sitting on a bar stool. They should accept bookings for tables rather than the bar.
