5 /5 Maria: Visited after the theater on a Sunday early evening. I sat at the bar counter (without reservation). Service was good and they recommended dishes that I should try. Had the raw sobrasada with honey, anchovy on brioche, brill crudo (lovely texture ... however just my opinion all the soup takes away from the brill flavour), john dory with potatoes as side. For dessert olive oil and brown bread ice cream. 10/10 ... would definitely return!

5 /5 Nancy Cavazos: What an absolute gem! We were just walking by when the exterior caught our eye, and we decided to stop in for lunch—best decision ever. Mountain serves incredibly unique and thoughtful dishes. Our server helped us navigate the menu (especially portion sizes), which we truly appreciated because some plates are wonderfully generous. Everything we ordered was outstanding: sardines, cured beef, short ribs, baked rice, and wild mushrooms—every bite was fresh, bold, and bursting with flavor. And you must order the bread and butter… it’s downright heavenly. Our server was fantastic—warm, friendly, and delightfully chatty—and she made an already great experience even better. When I come back to London, this will be the very first place I return to. Can’t recommend it enough!

5 /5 Natasha Kulagina: A truly memorable dining experience in Soho. Mountain on Beak Street manages to feel both vibrant and refined at the same time, with a kitchen that focuses on beautiful ingredients and honest cooking over fire. The wine list alone is worth the visit. It is extensive, thoughtful and clearly curated by someone who genuinely loves wine. A special thank you to Mariana, the sommelier, who was fantastic. Knowledgeable, attentive and genuinely passionate, she guided us through the list with great intuition and made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The food is outstanding, especially the small plates. The starters are elegant, full of flavor and perfect for sharing. Each dish feels carefully balanced without unnecessary complexity. Then come the grill dishes, which are clearly the heart of the restaurant. Simple in concept but executed with real precision. Beautiful products treated with respect and cooked perfectly over fire. Two dishes were absolutely unforgettable. The omelette, which sounds simple but is executed with incredible finesse and depth of flavor. And the sweetbread, which was perfectly cooked, delicate inside with a beautiful texture and rich flavor. Mountain is one of those places you immediately want to return to. Excellent food, a remarkable wine program and a team that clearly cares about what they are doing.

5 /5 Ido: Delicious local ingredients, meet Spanish flare. The menu is wide as a tapas bar, but almost every dish has hit the spot. We were mostly excited about the beef Rib, John Dory, brill crisp in almond soup and the wood fired rice and mushrooms. Honestly, there was enough choice left in the menu that we didn’t try, that we would definitely come back. Menu is of course changing daily, but some of the pillars stay the same. The open kitchen that you can literally walk into and the staff were extremely nice and helpful.

5 /5 Andrew Goh: Another great choice in London though packed with foodies, which already says a lot about this place. Located on lively Beak Street in Soho, Mountain carries a buzzing, energetic atmosphere where open flames, rustic plating, and seasonal produce take centre stage. Led by chef Tomos Parry, the menu leans heavily towards bold flavours, seafood, and wood-fired cooking that’s perfect for sharing and grazing. We ordered many small bites and truly enjoyed the experience. The oysters were fresh and clean, though personally I’d prefer them without added flavours to fully appreciate their natural brininess. The jamón paired beautifully with wine, while the cockles cooked with wine and garlic were a surprise hit. I honestly couldn’t stop eating them. The sautéed mushrooms with raw egg were rich, earthy, and indulgent so comforting yet refined. The mackerel with cauliflower was unique, elevated by a special sauce that enhanced the fish without overpowering it. Then came the spider crab omelette - how can anyone resist? That perfectly wrapped omelette with a soft, runny centre showed real skill and restraint. For mains, both the sirloin steak and pork chop were excellent choices, cooked confidently and well balanced. But the true standout was the grilled dory fish that’s simple lemon sauce, beautifully moist flesh, and melting with every bite. Proof that simplicity, when done right, can be the most memorable. A fantastic spot to enjoy a lively yet polished meal in Soho but do book early, as tables here don’t stay free for long.
