1 /5 Steve Usher: I have been a customer for over 20 years, from back in South Africa days, but what happened has ended that relationship in my eyes. Over an hour on the phone, after being told by deliveroo to call them about food sensitivities/allergies. The most condescending hold music while "waiting" to speak to the restaurant that never answered the phone, not even the poor people I spoke to in the support centre were able to get a hold of this place. I was on hold so long my order was delivered, proving there are people there.
What I have taken from this is pretty clear, from what they say on the phone and from the lack of response from the restaurant....if you have an allergy or food sensitivity go else where as they honestly dont care...they make it clear on the phone they cant do food sensitivity, and well no idea what this restaurant thinks as never got to speak to them.
A restaurant that does deliveries that doesnt answer the phone...yea.
My advice is avoid this particular restaurant if you want someone that even remotely cares about their customers, or is willing to talk to them, and avoid nandos entirely for gluten sensitivity.....after 20 years it sucks but this has been a truly horrid experience and well, this post is just the start....
To the owner I see responding to all the reviews, if you are going to tell me to get in touch directly....do me a favour and reread what I wrote...after two calls and being on hold for over 50 minutes combined...why would I ever try again
