Jennifer Saggers Terrific stay! Highly recommend. What a treasure. Fantastic meals. Well-deserved accolades to their chef. I was fortunate enough to be there across a change of menus. Both were wonderful. Truly delicious. A great location and base for exploring Kent.

Shehla Ahmad They finally have a sign that says Halal. Good friend chicken. Peri Pari burgers only have lettuce and no other salad. Chips are great and better than most other burger places. You get really big portions as well. For some reason t he Cheam village branch is not on Just Eat though.

Warrick Brown Cracking evening at the Bouch. The flavour in general in the food has some of the best depth I’ve tasted in French cooking. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Atmosphere was great, bustling but not cramped, very convivial. It’s pricey and the portion sizes are on the small side, but the quality is there.

The Horseshoe - Berkshire

Jon R Tucked away in the charming village of Mildenhall, just outside Marlborough, The Horseshoe delivers a roast beef experience that’s nothing short of sublime. From the moment we walked in, the warm welcome and fresh, stylish decor set the tone for a perfect afternoon. The roast beef was the star of the show—tender, richly flavoured, and cooked to perfection. The Yorkshire puddings were golden and crisp, the roast potatoes beautifully seasoned with a satisfying crunch, and the vegetables? Surprisingly exceptional. Often overlooked, these were vibrant, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. And the gravy—oh, the gravy! Deeply savoury and clearly homemade, it tied everything together with finesse. Service was attentive and cheerful, even on a busy Sunday. If you’re craving a proper British roast with heart and flair, The Horseshoe is a must. Hats off to the team for creating a place that feels both elevated and welcoming. We’ll absolutely be back. PS chicken was good too.

George G This is a lovely Italian restaurant with plenty of seating, as it’s quite a large space. There’s also outdoor dining, which must be buzzing in the summer. It’s located on Stroud Green Road, just a short stroll from Finsbury Park station. The atmosphere is great, with cool Italian tunes playing, and the staff are friendly. I was recommended the scialatielli ai straccetti di manzo, a homemade pasta with thin strips of beef. It was absolutely delicious, and I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a pasta dish that’s full of meat and flavour. There’s a great selection of alcohol — wines, spirits, beers, and cocktails — and they even serve Italian ice creams. There are toilets at the back. This place works well for dining solo, in groups, on date nights, or with family.
