Retro Cafe 2.0 - (Near Hammersmith and Fulham, South East)

Rob Key Ross Great atmosphere on a Sunday, both inside and out on the terrace despite the cold. The roast was excellent, and the staff — waiters and bartenders alike — were brilliant. We had not booked a table, but were lucky enough to find an empty one at peak time. Next time I would definitely book in advance, though.

Sineade Bates I arrived on a quiet morning with the place to myself. I was served by Kuba, the chef and part-owner, and was blown away not only by his culinary skills, but his passion for life and what he does. After realising this was a person who does best when left to his own devices, I asked he cooked whatever he wanted to make for me- a challenge he wholeheartedly embraced. What followed was a full plate of different taster dishes plus some other sides Kuba had imagined up in the moment. The flavours were phenomenal- especially the truffle dish! After a lovely dessert that had the distinct nostalgic taste of Campino sweets from the 90s, I thanked Kuba for the awesome food and great chat, then headed off. I’ll definitely be back, and highly recommend this place!

Chris W This is one of my favourite places to go, very friendly relaxed atmosphere, with great Italian food, and family managed, Vincenzo and Jospeh make you feel at home. Also treat yourself to the desserts, they are fantastic, I love the tiramisu and also the profiteroles! Highly recommended, have been going regularly for around a year.

Sakine Donmez We went to Al Gusto restaurant and the food was absolutely amazing. We started with prawns and warm sourdough bread, then had the goat’s cheese roasted vegetable salad and the portobello mushroom and olives pizza. We also had red wine. It was my friend’s first time there, and we both found the food incredibly delicious and loved it. My personal favourite is the baked cod, but we considered yesterday’s meal a real feast for ourselves. The service was excellent. We enjoyed the food so much that the customers sitting at the next table asked us, “Is this your first time here? The food is really delicious, isn’t it?”

Jennifer Crowder This was the first time I have eaten at a Persian restaurant and was taken here by a Persian friend who recommended the place. The food was incredible and the staff we very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back in future! Thank you for a lovely experience!

Lila Selim Bon Bon Coffee is such a lovely spot — the coffee is amazing every time, and they have every milk option you could possibly want! The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is really relaxed. A perfect place to grab your morning coffee or sit and unwind.
