5 /5 fairfield09: Despite it being the night before a new menu, so many items had been run down and werent available, the crispy haddock was delicious, great chips and minty mushy peas were well worth it. Great , friendly service. Dessert of blood orange posset, too much!! Really rich, wonderful flavour, the crystallised orange peel and tiny amounts of gel were excellent but the portion was too big for the richness, which was my only complaint!!

5 /5 Josh Mills: We celebrated my mother’s 80th birthday at Rockwater and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening. The staff gave us a beautiful table in a quieter zone, which was ideal for my mother who wears hearing aids—such a thoughtful touch. The food was absolutely excellent. My mum and dad both had the fish and chips, which they loved, and I had the steak. The chips were so delicious I ended up stealing them from three other plates—I just couldn’t get enough! For dessert, the mango sorbet was a standout: intensely flavourful, refreshing, and a true delight to end the meal. Special mention must go to our waitress Vicky, who was incredibly attentive throughout the evening, and Daniel, who helped serve our food with charm and humour—he really added to the celebration. Rockwater was the perfect setting to celebrate a milestone birthday, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, thoughtful service, and a memorable experience

1 /5 Nikki Capsopoulos: Had the most disappointing experience at RockWater. We were walk in customers at 5.30ish. No tables in the bar area so sat at the bar and ordered drinks. A pint and an old fashioned, the barman did not know how to make an old fashioned and put a measure of bitters in and no sugar syrup. Sent it back where he crushed sugar into it. Was still revolting. We then moved from the bar to a table. Tried to get waitress to acknowledge us for over 20 minutes. When she did say she would be on her way she cleared tables, chatting to bar and restaurant staff before eventually getting back to us. We sent back the old fashioned and a slightly better version was made. We had burger and a fish and chips. The burger was dry and pretty standard for £21! The fish abd chips were oily and less than half way through was inedible. The chips were hard and also oily. We just wanted to get out of there but no one to ask for the bill. After waiting for ages I went up to the till where a someone came to take payment. £47 something for a standard burger inedible fish and chips and appalling or non existent service. £20 for drinks were paid at the bar on arrival! Not happy at all.. we usually pop in on a Wednesday after a walk but will be reluctant to return. Shame! Also no response to complaint on Messenger

4 /5 Yang Yun: I came here to meet some friends. The service was good. We didnt book a table but they put two tables together to give us more space. I only had tea today, but my friends had breakfast. The food looks delicious. The only downside is that, its a busy place even on a weekday, and they didnt open the upstairs not sure if its the weather issue or not enough staff to look after two floors. I will come back to try the food. Ive hread good things about this place over the years. Its a great spot to watch sunset when the weather is good.

1 /5 Hilary rowley: We had cocktails. Liam was fantastic. He came over and discussed with us what we’d like as they didn’t have one of the cocktails we wanted- Alabama Slammer so he said he’d do his version. It was spot on - absolutely delicious. We all loved our own individual choices. He was so accommodating and professional. We had a great time.
