The Carpenters Arms - (Near Hammersmith and Fulham, South East)

5 /5 Benjamin Tubbs: We had such a lovely visit to the Carpenters Arms recently! The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Warm and cozy atmosphere inside. The outside area is just as charming – a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a drink. Great to see that the prices seem to have been reduced to a more affordable level. It makes such a difference and means we’ll definitely be coming back more often. Highly recommended!

5 /5 Gio: “A real gem in the heart of Chiswick, just a short walk from the Thames. The place has a beautiful, golden-age atmosphere without any pretence. The wine and cocktail selection is excellent, and the menu offers real variety. Youness, the manager, made us feel at home with his charisma and sharp professionalism. In the age of TikTok hype, this place stays genuinely authentic.

1 /5 Oskar Cizic: I was initially excited to eat here. The menu looks great. Unfortunately the food was well below average. We were a party of 6. 2 people ordered the fish and chips. Both fish were burned. The batter was almost black in areas and the fish was completely overcooked and dry. The flat iron steak was very chewy and the bourdelaise sauce lacked depth of flavour. They serve their burgers well done. End of story. So unfortunately the burger was very dry. The description on the menu sounded nice but in the end it seemed like all of the other ingredients were there as a distraction from the overcooked meat. The kids meal came way before the rest of the food and so we asked if it could come out later with the other food. It was kept warm and re served to us but sadly was very bland and again lacked depth of flavour. Overall it was very disappointing especially when you consider the final bill came to £248. I wouldn’t come here again.
