Travellers Rest Beefeater - (Near Harrow, South East)

1 /5 Rk S: Food was awful. Dont order chicken! It was rubbery on the outside and tasted raw on inside even though it looks cooked. It was as if they quickly thawed frozen chicken. The service is slow, and ordering from the bar is irritating. Staff took ageeees to attend to me. They saw me walk in and waiting and decided to not acknowledge me. They were better once they started bringing food over. They dont allow you to come back to order dessert you have to order altogether, but I dont know until I have eaten my main whether I want a second course or not - unnecessary. If youre staying in the premier inn, dont - its terrible too. You wont get a good nice sleep with all the horrific noise!

5 /5 Prav een: We enjoyed a great night out here as a group of 5 adults! The food was well priced and tasty, and quick to be delivered to the table. There was also a pretty decent selection, so we had quite a varied meal. Whilst the food and drink was enjoyable, the most notable part of the offering at the pub was the service. Both Kreena and Pryesh (I hope Ive got your names correct!) gave us fantastic service behind the bar, at our table and in passing - which we all really appreciated. Whilst it was our first time there in decades, we really felt welcomed and at home, and we fully intend to come back soon. Keep up the great work!

3 /5 Martin Reviews: I recently visited Travellers Rest Beefeater, and while the overall experience was enjoyable, there were a few issues that need addressing. On arrival, we stood waiting for around five minutes before getting the attention of a staff member, only to be told to sit anywhere and order at the bar, which was confusing as there were no menus on the tables. Once we located the menus, the selection was extensive but quite overwhelming. We both chose the mixed grill, which offered a great selection and very generous portions, and the large open dining area was pleasant. The barman was extremely friendly and helpful, which made a positive difference. However, a nearby table was continuously swearing, which detracted from the atmosphere. Overall, we enjoyed the visit, but menus should be placed on tables, floor staff need to be more attentive and manage the space better, and there should be clearer standards on behaviour — it needs to decide whether it’s a family dining venue or a common pub.

We enjoyed classic fish and chips with tartar sauce, baked beans, breaded mushrooms, and a delicious chicken burger with chips. Each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ensured our dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. 5 /5 Andy Smith: Good food and a good price. The menu is pretty good and has lots of options for all tastes and dietary requirements. Good vegetarian options and the staff ask if you have any allergies so they can advise you.
