Martina Cirillo One of the best dining experiences we have had so far. We came here for the Omakase this past Friday evening and everything has been outstanding from start to finish, from the warm hospitality, through the setting (only 7 seats) and to the food. The owners are so incredibly welcoming and amazing at creating a comfortable atmosphere, it felt like being hosted at a dinner party. Each course of the dinner was excellent, so flavorful and expertly prepared in front of us. We highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back.

Neil Davis This is a wonderful Italian restaurant that preserves the traditions of some of my favourite Italian eateries of days gone by - Vitello doro, Topo Gigio, The Florence on Villiers Street.... Hearty Italian food, large plates and excellent service in a happy friendly atmosphere. I ate the largest piece of veal Ive ever seen served with Spaghetti Pomodoro, my two companions had a Tuna Salad and the Merluzzo respectively. As youll see from the photos, my first thoughts were to tuck in before I remembered to get the camera out!! More than simply eating...

Darsha D Coming here requires a bit of strategy. You don’t just turn up casually. Either don’t eat all day or arrive with the appetite of a small army. I’m not kidding. The place itself is stunning, full of old school charm. The Bloody Mary was, appropriately, bloody good. And the food? Divine. One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in a long time. The Yorkshire pudding was a proper “oh my god” moment, the gravy was rich and glorious, and everything else from the meat to the veggies (do not miss the potatoes like everyone mentions!) was spot on. The only tragedy of the day was that I couldn’t finish my plate, which felt like a personal failure. Honestly, just go already.

GAILs Bakery Exmouth Market - City of London

Rating: 4.2 /5
Anatori Sealife We stumbled upon Exmouth Market quite by chance yesterday and were delighted to find a familiar and trusted name – GAIL’s Bakery. It felt like a small reward after wandering through the charming street with its lively atmosphere and mix of cafés and shops. GAIL’s is one of those places where you know what to expect: reliable quality, friendly service, and a welcoming environment. This particular branch lived up to that reputation. The moment we stepped inside, the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries set the tone. The staff were attentive, efficient, and genuinely warm, which made the experience even more pleasant. We ordered tea, coffee, a cinnamon bun, and a blueberry custard brioche – all staples for us when visiting GAIL’s. The drinks were spot-on: the tea brewed to the right strength, and the coffee had a lovely balance of flavour and depth. The cinnamon bun was just the way it should be – soft, slightly sticky, with just the right amount of sweetness. The blueberry custard brioche was a true highlight, with a creamy, indulgent filling complemented by the freshness of the fruit. The space itself is bright and comfortable, perfect for a short break or even a longer sit-down if you want to watch the world go by outside. The buzz of Exmouth Market adds to the charm, making it not just a bakery visit but part of a wider experience of this vibrant corner of London. Overall, this branch of GAIL’s reinforced why the brand is so well loved. Consistent quality, great bakes, and a calm, enjoyable setting – exactly what you hope for when you come across a trusted name in a new part of the city. Highly recommended.
