4 /5 Tricia F: Facilities:
I made dinner reservation so once I got there I was seated promptly. The atmosphere is a bit noisy. The decor looks a little retro but can be appreciated for the quaintness.
The restautant was at capacity and so it was very loud between everyone chatting and the background music, but you can still have a conversation at your table. There is also outside seating available.
Food and drinks:
The food was satisfactory. Bread was served complimentary, we had superfood salad for appetizer which was excellent. Steak and Cod for mains.
There is a good selection of wines, liquor and cocktails.
Service time was pretty good despite the restaurant being packed- between ordering and serving was about 15-20mins for starter and then served mains within about 10mins after they cleared the table.
Price
I would say this is an affordable restaurant depending, average £100 for 2 without drinks.
Negative:
The restaurant allows pets, during my dinner at 8pm there were 2 massive dogs inside a in the vicinity of my table. The dog owner kept moving outside and inside the restaurant with these 2 MASSIVE dogs! They were flashing and licking themselves sprawled out on the floor inside the restaurant. At one point one of the waiters nearly tripped over 1 of them.
I just think food and dogs should not mix, you cant get dressed up for dinner and then inside the restaurant just to have dogs flashing themselves off in the air in the enclosed environment like that. Not to mention if someone in there was allergic to dogs!
I will not be going back just for this reason.
