William Lock This was our second visit to The Punchbowl after a very positive experience previously and we are delighted to say that our expectations were met once again. As a family with young children, the staff and owners could not have been more accommodating for us despite the inherent chaos that comes with it. All of our food was excellent and freshly prepared with adults and children all thoroughly enjoying it and the service was exceptional throughout. We would highly recommend and look forward to returning in the future.

Steve mcdonald First time here for me and i wasnt disappointed.The food we had was all freshly prepared and is served tapas style, as and when each dish is ready. Good menu choice, reasonably priced. Good alcohol choice also. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Dont forget to book as its a small restaurant and its busy.. Would I go again ? Yes ! Enjoy as we did.

Linda Page Went last night for family pre Christmas meal. Lovely relaxing atmosphere, very pleasant staff. Nice menu, good wine list. The meal was excellent , the portion sizes generous, my stuffed chicken masala just melted in your mouth. We went midweek at 7pm and it was lovely & quiet so we were able to have a nice leisurely catch up.This is definitely a restaurant that I want to go back to.

Adarsh Rao We recently stopped by this place and ordered two medium doner kebabs, and we were genuinely impressed. Even though we ordered the medium size, the portion was really generous — more than enough to leave us full and happy. The meat was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right, while the salad and sauces added the perfect balance without overpowering the taste. You can tell everything is fresh and prepared with care. What really stood out beyond the food was the atmosphere. The place has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to sit down and take your time. It’s clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated — perfect whether youre grabbing a quick bite or planning to hang out for a while. And we absolutely have to mention the owner. Such a sweet and friendly person! From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in what they do. It’s always a great sign when the person running the place treats you like a guest rather than just another customer. Overall, we had a lovely experience. Great food, lovely environment, and truly kind-hearted service. Highly recommend if youre in the area and craving a good doner! James Abella We decided to eat here to celebrate the end of my auntie-in-laws cancer treatment and was served by Mike who was absolutely hilarious! Gave us a really friendly service and made the day a great one. Food was really great, prepared hot and arrived in good time. The value for what we got as well for all of us was amazing!

Jonathan Berry I went over to this place every night during a short vacation I took in Oxford. Their menu has a really good selection of sundaes and pancakes with a scoop of ice cream placed next to the pancakes. The staff is very friendly and got to know me really well from my visits to their place every night. They even went the extra mile by giving me chai on the house on my last night in Oxford. I cant recommend this place enough to anyone whether you live in Oxford or are taking a short vacation and have a hotel or Airbnb (like me) a short walk from this place!
