5 /5 boicu samson: I had an excellent experience at Koyo Amersham. The restaurant feels modern, calm, and very inviting — a really nice setting for sushi. The service was genuinely impressive. Friendly, attentive, and well-paced. I felt looked after from the moment I sat down, without anything feeling rushed. The sushi was outstanding. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of clean, balanced flavours. Every dish was presented with great attention to detail, and it tasted just as good as it looked. Overall, the whole visit felt smooth, enjoyable, and high quality from start to finish. I’d definitely come back — Koyo is an easy recommendation.

5 /5 Dion Jones-Bauer: Best local Japanese restaurant for miles! The service was very friendly, and the food was delicious. Well definitely be coming back. Some constructive feedback. Me and my wife both agreed that less crispy onions on the sushi would be better, there was just too much in our opinion. I would also like to see a more diverse sake menu. Finally, adding a matcha dessert to the menu would be the cherry on top for a Japanese restaurant. I was surprised there wasnt one already to be honest.

The food arrived in good time and it was so good. Everything we ordered looked great and tasted really nice. The presentation was also spot on. Will definitely visit again!

5 /5 Helen: I eat at Koyo A LOT…. with friends and family and Ive even been with my husband, who is extremely critical he was impressed as well. I actually can’t believe I haven’t done a review before now but I’ve literally just waved “Hi” to Will and so I’m now sat down doing one. Koyo is a fab place to eat and the food and service is excellent too. I have been lucky enough to visit Japan and therefore sample lots of Japanese cuisine so feel I have a pretty good comparison. The team at Koyo are all fantastic, helpful and welcoming, but for me the stand out member of that team is Will. He is extremely polite and professional he has excellent recommendations and whenever I’m eating there has a nice large glass of wine ready and waiting. He always has a smile and is both accommodating and courteous. Now, while Koyo is top Amersham and not Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto… I have to say… in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto… you don’t get a “Will”!
