Dom Ahern Loved this place. Every single member of staff was just amazing, super attentive, charming and knew their stuff. We went in the evening and the atmosphere was perfect, kitchen upstairs and a mixture of big and small tables with candles, fun but relaxed and not too hectic. Felt really well looked after which made the evening. The wine choices and food were superb and waiters helped us choose. Possibly on the slightly pricey side, but because everything was perfect it still seemed great value. Def recommend for those happy to spend a bit of money, or want to feel spoilt in relaxed but buzzy setting. My new favourite place.

NMA Croudough, situated near Sadler’s Wells, offers a warm and thoughtfully curated dining environment, elevated by its stylish décor and welcoming atmosphere. The menu presents a well-considered range of options, making it suitable for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. Service is attentive and genuinely pleasant, contributing positively to the overall experience. The pizza selection is particularly commendable; while my own arrived slightly cooler than ideal, the flavours remained balanced and satisfying. Despite this minor misstep, Croudough delivers a confident, enjoyable meal and one I would readily return for.

Inger Margrete Hansen Where do I even begin? After years on my list, Sessions Arts Club more than lived up to the anticipation. Set within the grand rooms of the Old Sessions House, the space itself feels steeped in memory — high ceilings, history in the walls, and a sense that time moves differently once you’re inside. The duck pâté and cheese platter were standouts, rich and deeply satisfying, and beautifully matched with an exceptional wine selection. It’s clear that wine here is not an afterthought but a philosophy. Their Lost Wines series captures that perfectly: bottles rescued from forgotten cellars, restored with care, and given a second life. Knowing that the glass in front of you carries a story, only deepens the experience. A truly special evening — and one I’m already planning to repeat.

Neil Davis This is a wonderful Italian restaurant that preserves the traditions of some of my favourite Italian eateries of days gone by - Vitello doro, Topo Gigio, The Florence on Villiers Street.... Hearty Italian food, large plates and excellent service in a happy friendly atmosphere. I ate the largest piece of veal Ive ever seen served with Spaghetti Pomodoro, my two companions had a Tuna Salad and the Merluzzo respectively. Pam Probably the best pho I’ve ever had! The monkfish pho came with a rich seafood broth infused with tomato, a hint of chilli, and Vietnamese fish sauce. The monkfish was perfectly fried and soaked up the broth beautifully — every bite felt like a harmony of flavours. We also tried the chicken pho, made with the vegetarian broth (you can also choose beef). The soup was wonderfully seasoned with layers of vegetable flavours that made it incredibly comforting and flavourful. The restaurant has two floors and is usually packed during meal times. Seating is quite close together, so it can get a bit noisy. The lower ground floor is less ventilated, so if you arrive early, I recommend sitting on the ground floor. Overall, the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming back! P.S. Prices do not include service charge.
