Root Less Been meaning to try this since I first spotted it some months ago: I shouldnt have dithered, its a delight! Firstly the most charming, kind and helpful family hosts you could imagine who clearly genuinely care so much about making sure you are happy. And with this food, who wouldnt be happy? Started with possibly the best empanadas I have ever tasted (and my waistline testifies that I have worked through very many, including in Latin America): melting flaky pastry enclosing soft potato and tasty beef brisket accompanied by a delicious chimichurri. I chose the Ecuadorian ceviche which was not on the menu but suggested by the waiter. It consisted of prawns in a zingy fresh broth with lime juice, tomato, thinly sliced onions accompanied by plaintain chips and popcorn. Some habanero hot sauce added some heat and I cleaned the ample dish. I enjoyed this with a lovely fresh mango and milk smoothie. And the delight didnt finish with the food - menu prices are very reasonable but the Ecuadorian ceviche turned out to be £5 cheaper than the Peruvian one: I would have happily paid the £20 on the menu but they insisted on charging only £15. What lovely people making food full of love, albeit in fairly plain surroundings but I cant wait to go back and continue working my way through the entire menu.

K Tried a few of the burgers and they did not disappoint; They have the smash sliders and the side snacks beef burgers; I could not tell the difference between the two so ordered from the side snacks which went down well. The beef patty is very well seasoned and the burger was nice and well rounded. Also tried the brisket in the burger as well as the sando; preferred the sando as this went really well and it was very fat and filled. The burger was equally filled with brisket too. All the burgers were really good, although the images made them appear much bigger than the reality. A shame that they don’t offer milkshakes as that would have been enjoyed nicely with the burgers. Nevertheless, enjoyable burgers for all.

Saw Wen I had an amazing experience at Palungo Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The momos were perfectly steamed with a soft, delicate wrapper and a flavorful, juicy filling. Paired with the rich, spicy dipping sauce, every bite was satisfying and authentic. The sides complemented the meal wonderfully — the spicy noodle dish had a great kick and depth of flavor, while the peanut salad added a refreshing crunch with just the right balance of tangy and savory notes. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy a relaxed meal. If you’re craving authentic flavors and comforting dishes, Palungo is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back for more!

Nathan Darcy We turned up without a booking and had no issue getting a table on a weekday evening, but it did get busy while we were there so its worth booking for security. We were in and out within an hour, after having starters, mains and desserts. Everything was fresh, hot and tasted perfect. The dough balls especially are a winner every time. Our server Katie was easily the most attentive and friendly staff member weve had in a long time. Never felt rushed at any point, and she was always ready to clear plates and bring the next course, dessert menus, more drinks, etc as soon as we were ready, despite having many other tables to attend to. She was knowledgeable and patient, and is a great asset to your team. Thank you we will definitely be back again!
