Skippers Fish Bar & Café - (Near , london)

Sina Adami Ardestani Im in London for a short trip and after going on the London Eye, I found this cute little Italian spot, and as soon as I saw their menu, I decided to give them a try. I was greeted by Mahfuz, one of the servers who was from Turkey and made me feel welcomed and gave me a nice little table by the window. I got to practice my Turkish with him which was great. Ariana was my server and I normally let the servers of the restaurants give me suggestions and I was not disappointed at all. She recommended the Arancini which was a great starter and for the main course she suggested the Linguini Gambaretti( I hope I spelled it correct) and it was 10 out of 10. Definitely will recommend giving them a try. Nice little crew , that deserve all the praise. As someone whos owned an Italian Restaurant in the US, I enjoyed watching them work as a team to take great care of everyone in the restaurant and they were busy the entire time. This was the only restaurant in London though that didnt have service charge which in my opinion they should add automatic tip to the bills for all the hard and great work they do. Aliki Moysiadi What a lovely café! Instantly fell in love with the vibe; great atmosphere and music, a very welcoming place. The staff was cheerful and polite. We had a mocha, a cappuccino, a brie and bacon sandwich, and the breakfast hash. I would have liked the cappuccino a bit stronger, but that is just my personal taste. Everything was prepared with great care and it showed. The cakes all looked seductive but we had to run, so will be going back for those!

Julian Mathis Our party had a very tasty lunch here today. The young man that served us was on point and was always eager to explain what something was or give a drink recommendation. The restaurant is very beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious especially the hot and cold mezze platters which went down a treat. My colleagues are already planning there next visits with friends and I myself will be sure to come back as well. Definitely a taste of Turkey and a 100% recommendation from me.

Sandra Brunton We, a party of 8, visited this establishment on Suday lunchtime. On entering we were aware of the welcoming and friendly atmosphere from staff and customers. Toby, our waiter, didnt take long to take our orders. He was very knowlegable regarding the menu, and was able to answer any queries. We all had starters that went down well. No complaints. Seven of our party chose either lamb neck or shoulder, the other, pork, for the main course. All meals were ample and well presented, and most importantly, HOT. The slow cooked lamb meat was very tender and fell off the bone. Extra gravy or condiments were brought swiftly to the table as requested. Seven of our party finished off their meal with a dessert. The rhubarb and ginger sponge was especially liked. We all had a nothing but praise for a great afternoon, delicious food, and excellent, friendly service from all the staff, especially our waiter, Toby. A footnote...Yes it was very noisy, but this is what happens when people are enjoying themselves and having a good time! We will visit again.

Mad Buy This is a super cozy and quaint English tavern just across the street from Big Ben. The service was friendly and accommodating. The fish & chips was huge, hot, and melts in your mouth. The sausage & mash was hearty and savory. The chilli con carne was a delicious treat. Definitely try this spot for authentic English comfort food!
