5 /5 Autumn Y: Youre directed to a check in area upon arrival where you can drop off your stuff in a locker (free). Youll need to hand in your ID at that time to get a visitors pass. Following that, you make your way into the prison. Youll have to remove jackets/jewelry/extras, go through a metal detector, and get a pat down. Youre then led into the restaurant. Youll be sat, given time to look over the menu, and ask questions if needed. The environment itself looks like one of a regular restaurant, with the exception of plastic cutlery. The staff were partly in training when I was there, so they were decently chatty and eager to help with anything. They did try to upsell a decent amount, but that is probably in part to the training bit, in terms of learning how to work that in more flawlessly. Ordered a pork chop that came with soba noodles and a smashed cucumber salad. The food tasted good overall. They have their regular desserts as well as ones that are made by the inmates there (separate menu for these). So ask to see what those are to support them if youd like. When leaving, you will need to be escorted, so just be sure to ask for your host before you head out.

5 /5 DPT Surrey: After the austerity of the entry procedure, the restaurant itself is a lovely surprise, both in character and atmosphere. The inmates are really attentive and helpful and happy to have a chat about their lives. They seem rightfully proud of the experience that they provide and we wish them well in their future careers in hospitality!

5 /5 Kelly Tomlinson: Had an incredible experience dining at The Clink in Brixton for their Sunday Christmas roast. I had always wanted to try it as the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive and the initiative truly beneficial. As we were a booking of seven, we had to pre-order ahead of time. At the prison, you must put all belongings in a locker and only take in one bank card to pay. You do a typical security check and then youre behind the prison walls and being taken to the restaurant. The restaurant itself was lovely! I did not expect it to be so warm and typical of any other restaurant - the only thing that would give it away was the plastic cutlery. Our server Jay was fantastic, very sociable and funny. We were served by other inmates throughout the service too, every single one gracious and considerate. My mojito mocktail was divine! The only slightly con was our food took a while to come out - Jay was onto this though, apologetic and they served us some extra entrees to make up for the wait. The food itself was great, not amazing, but definitely decent. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and one we all felt grateful to be part of. We wish all inmates the best for their futures and hope this programme continues to encourage and uplift.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, a refreshing contrast to the prison setting. The restaurant is well-designed, offering a comfortable dining experience. One aspect that surprised me was how many guests seemed unaware of the prisons guidelines. Its crucial to read the restrictions, as certain items are not allowed on the premises it will be emailed to you once your submission has been accepted. Additionally, be sure to arrive 30 minutes before your booking time, as this is necessary for the search and security protocols. The highlight of our visit was the impeccable service from Mohamed. His professionalism and attentiveness made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations on the Christmas specials that truly enhanced our dining experience. Now, about the food! The Christmas menu featured a delightful selection of seasonal dishes, all beautifully presented and full of flavor. It was clear that the kitchen team takes great pride in their work, and we appreciated the chance to enjoy such a festive meal in this extraordinary setting. Overall, our visit to the Clink Restaurant was not only a unique dining experience but also an opportunity to support an initiative that provides training and rehabilitation for inmates. We left feeling satisfied by both the excellent food and the meaningful impact of our visit. I highly recommend dining at the Clink Restaurant, especially during the holiday season. 5 /5 Hannah Phung: Wonderful experience - the food and service were both superb. Hats off to the training programme and the people who took up the opportunity. Everything was very professional and the food was definitely restaurant quality. The check in and security process were all efficient, no problems there. Everyone in our group enjoyed it.
