4 /5 Julie Brown: Very nice stay here, celebrating my special birthday. Room was lovely, good size & very clean. The bathroom was very big and loved the decor. Would stay again. Breakfast did not cater for me with my wheat allergy, even though we told them in advance. Husband loved it though!

5 /5 Amy Benson: We stayed for one night and it was stunning. The bath in the room is gorgeous and the room beautiful. We ate in the restaurant in the evening because it had great reviews compared to other restaurants in Canterbury and we were not disappointed. Staff were lovely. We had the beef wellington and were so impressed - the chef is incredible. 10/10 would recommend and return when we next visit Canterbury. Breakfast was lovely - a continental breakfast brought up to the room. It was exactly what we needed after the huge wellington the night before. Very happy, thank you to the corner house for a wonderful stay.

5 /5 Deborah Cameron: My husband and I ate here with my son and his partner to celebrate his birthday. The menu offered some tantalising choices. I opted for the flatiron steak, my husband the belly pork, and the others both went for the duck. This was after delicious staters and cocktails. The wine was quality, too. While the food was good, when my steak turned out to be seriously chewy - it happens! There was absolutely no quibble from the staff when I quietly mentioned it at the till. It was immediately removed from our bill. The service was all-round excellent. Would highly recommend this place.

5 /5 Elizabeth DB: This restaurant is 12/10 - I’ve woken up thinking about the phenomenal beef wellington we had for dinner. Service also great - but oysters on a bed of salt on a board is weird! Please change that to be on a big ol’ plate on rock salt and give us oyster forks like everywhere does and they do it because it makes sense! Great wine, great food, fabulous service - highly highly highly recommend like do not bother coming for a visit to Canterbury unless you’re gonna eat here. Can’t speak to the accommodation but the restaurant is absolutely banging.
