5 /5 Kevin: We ordered Short Rib, Tuna, Chorizo, Cauliflower and Hummus. Everything was exquisitely done. Beautiful bougie vibes on a Friday night. It’s definitely worth the visit and really brings you away from Godalming to some other amazing place on holiday.
5 /5 hayley r: Very friendly and cosy independent deli. All food is fresh and locally sourced. My partner and I tried the deli tapas evening. Lots of very tasty dishes with lots of flavour and quality ingredients. Will definetly come back again
5 /5 Ellen Rogers: I went with friends to the tapas Friday night and had a fantastic time. The food took a little longer due to a large order ahead of ours, but we were apologised to a number of times and offered some free olives. Did not dampen the evening. The food was fantastic, shout out the cabbage with tahini. Unreal. We had a gorgeous night. Went back this morning for coffee and was very disappointed I’d had breakfast before I came. Will be back for brunch! Everything coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. Staff lovely and kind and a gorgeous collection of bits to buy for the pantry.
2 /5 S Mackie: Disappointing food and overpriced. £11 for a bowl of soup, slice (small) of bread and a soft drink (250ml). Soup was leek and potato and was most honestly the worst leek and potato soup Ive ever had. Stringy half blended and so much black pepper it was vile as that was the overpowering flavour. I left most of it. Staff were pleasant but once they had your money didnt ask how anything was. Food did come quickly so that was a bonus but I wouldnt rush back there to eat.
Angela Jones This was worth a trip out of London! It’s the South-East’s best kept secret. I almost don’t want to write a review! The Acorn provides a very relaxed setting. Bruce the owner/chef serves up some of the best food I’ve eaten in a long time. It beats the 5-star establishments in taste and yet is half the price. Trust me… you
will come back and bring your friends. And then your friends will come back. Oh and look out for “Nigel” - Bruce’s bottled Cladophlora. Enjoy.
kirstie leese One of new favourite cafes. Found this place recently, it was amazing. The food was amazing, you get lots for your money. The music was great and the coffee was delicious. Chef was friendly and even served us with a big friendly smile and the surrounding area breathtaking. Will definitely be returning and telling everyone close to me how lovely it was ❤️
Cheryl Law We decided to try this The Squirrel Inn as our two local favourite restaurants have let us down on poor quality or missing items
consistently over the past few months.
When we go out we really do appreciate the quality of the food and the service.
I had the Lamb shanks which were to die for. This was served in a good proportion but it was a little too much for me. No worries though ......... my better half had no quarrels on helping me out. The mash was great and the veg was cooked to perfection.
My partner has the pork belly and he was impressed as I was.
The only thing that springs to mind is that the service was so fast they never delivered the bread basket (which we ordered on arrival ) but we really didnt mind as the food was so good.
I wish I could managed a dessert as they sounded amazing but are not advertised on the website.
The serving staff were polite and friendly, we didnt need to book which was a bonus. The seating person was friendly and accommodating allowing us to choose our table.
We will be back again.
Edward Auriemma A very friendly pub with major sport events being shown on TV. Also most weekends they have local bands playing live music. Bar staff are brilliant and you are always guaranteed a wonderful night out
