4 /5 Clive Williams: Mixed feelings on this one. The restaurant is on the pricy side but white linen table cloths and linen napkins are expensive to clean.
Our reason for choosing "The Jade" was the various preparations of scallops on the menu, there were three different kinds and we planned to try them all.
Unfortunately scallops, although listed, were off the menu ☹️
The remaining choices were fairly standard and could be found in any Chinese restaurant.
What we did eventually chose was nicely presented and tasty.
Service was efficient but staff attitude could be "chatty and polite", "mildly impatient" or "nonchalant" depending on who brought the particular dish to the table; no one was rude.
Overall it was a pleasant evening but would have been better if scallops were available.
