4 /5 Claire Hall: I really appreciate small businesses making good food in unusual places. This place is clearly popular- I was a ‘walk in’ and staff looked as though they would have trouble to squeeze me in when only two tables had diners so far… I presume this is because they have a lot of bookings. Waiting staff might have been new as they didn’t have an answer regarding my question on the menu and I found they left it a little too long to take my order -especially since it wasn’t busy at that time. Not long to wait for the food though once the order was given. It is very light inside as it is essentially a covered deck, I can imagine this would also be nice at night as it’s like being outside but still warm. Toilets were excellently clean even though in another container across a small yard. Food was also good… I had the potato hash with chorizo, and I would have preferred the potatoes a little ‘hashier’ or smashed , but these were perfectly formed new potatoes- still tasty though.

4 /5 Cat Roehricht: We visited as a group of four friends and ordered the whole menu as this was advertised as the best way to really experience the Lacy Nooks cuisine. The food was delicious, however, most dishes arrived all at once and no one really explained what was what, so we were a bit in the dark as to what we were eating - except that there was a lot of it and it was tasty! Plus it was really cold in the restaurant - I had no idea it was basically an outside venue with temporary walls. Which wouldve been fine in summer but in February meant the food went cold really quickly (as did we, despite the blankets provided). The wait staff were lovely and friendly, but Im not sure Id rush back at that price point - for four people including one drink each and shared deserts it was £300. Personally Id recommend picking a few dishes rather than all of them!

5 /5 Sophie Beagles: Our favourite local restaurant - a must visit! Amazing food - really tasty, well presented and full of flavour. We feel so lucky to have this on our doorstep. We often take friends and share most of the menu, as well as going for quick lunches / brunches. It has lovely staff and a great cosy vibe, even in the middle of winter. Also great for kids, with a kids menu, high chairs, baby change, space/ ramp for prams. We love the lacy nook!

4 /5 Sharron Norris: I loved the restaurant - food for me being a vegetarian was amazing - so thank you. The waiting staff were not that quick getting drinks but they were friendly and nice. They had no lager they had run out which was a bit of a shame. Surely you make sure you have enough lager for the weekend. But there was plenty of other drinks so that not a disaster. The only issue came when we paid the bill, the waiter came up and said " sorry to bother you but did you only mean to pay part of the tip? as your money is short". We said it absolutely is not short we counted it twice and we paid your full tip, (I found it a bit insulting that they would do this) we asked them to recount the money and when they did they discovered that they had actually counted wrong and we had paid the full amount of the tip. I have never in my life encountered someone questioning what we had paid on a tip. So for that reason I cannot give them 5 stars for service.
