1 /5 D R: I visited Sunday 25th January. Summary - chaotic, untrained staff, long wait times, poor + cold food.
Sadly our food was badly delayed, cold and incorrect. When shown to our table we were told someone would be over to take our drinks order - 15 minutes later no one had come so I ended up getting drinks at the bar.
The chicken roast was only a small breast and when at the bar I overheard 2 ladies who had ordered soup, waited 45 minutes for it, only to send it back due to it being cold and then another 25 minute wait afterwards. I heard all this because the queue for the bar was huge.
A chap at the bar asked for a 125ml wine. The young male server said the owner had taken it off the till so he couldn’t serve it. It is law to offer a 125ml if you are serving a 175ml and 250ml. He said ‘look I’ll show you’ and showed the options on the till. Guess what - it was there and he hadn’t seen it! Staff need to be trained better and taught to get management when there are issues.
Whilst they did have a number of walk ins, someone should’ve led from the front and turned them away as this new ownership is not ready for such large numbers.
