V A Came here as a big group for a birthday. Ordered a few starters and also mains with the mains being Bandeja Paisa. The starters were decent, pastries could’ve been fresher, however the aji and beef sancocho was the star of the show. There was a bit of a wait for the Bandeja Paisa, so didn’t all start eating the mains at the same time. Once it did arrive we were all pleasantly surprised and understood why there was a wait as the portions massive, for £25 it can easily feed 2. The chicharon was crispy, sausage a good quality, and overall the dish was delicious. A vast amount and variety of carbs and meat. The desserts were delicious too.

nitish reddy Gudibandi An amazing place for Thai food, I would definitely recommend this place. Even though it’s a small place, the ambience is very nice and we always get a nice welcome. They have Indian options too but I would recommend the Thai food here over the Indian one. Parking is a hassle and I would recommend to go there by walk or bus if you are a local.

Mirjana Fowle Everybody should experience The Mill at least once. It is very indulgent, food for the body and soul (literally!). The car park is small, but parking attendants help to get as many cars as possible. And it’s free. You start downstairs in the bar with all the twinkly lights and view of the mill wheel which transports you back in time while you sip on a drink (or two). Then you are taken upstairs for an evening meal. You get your dedicated table and a server who is there to make your evening comfortable. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, there is no rush and our waitress was fantastic, very polite and friendly. Bread, butter and olives were already waiting at the table. You get to choose a main meal and dessert from the set menu (5 choices each). I had a salmon followed by vanilla pana cotta and coffee/tea in the end. That’s all included in the price of your ticket. The food arrived really quickly, it tasted delicious and we had plenty of time to chat and enjoy the atmosphere. After the meal you proceed to the theatre, which is cozy and no matter where you sit, you will be able to see every little detail on that stage. The show was a tribute to Lionel Richie and Diana Ross. We loved it, even if the drums were way too loud, the singers were excellent, including the backing singers who danced all the way through it. Audience was engaged, singing and dancing. It was a fabulous evening out and we have already bought tickets for our next show. We cannot wait!

Peter Fletcher Very, very good pizza. Reasonably priced too. Was a very quiet Wednesday, so hard to comment on service and atmosphere really. But was a nice, cosy little place.

shelley spring We had the most wonderful stay at The Falkland Arms. Ernesto and the team were absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived. The pub itself is cosy, comforting and full of charm and as a bonus it’s really dog friendly too. We stayed here as we were travelling to see Clarkson’s Farm and it was absolutely perfect. If you’re thinking of doing the same thing, this place is a little gem. The food was incredible, we had the bacon chop, the steak and the chicken gnocchi, all cooked beautifully and full of flavour. Our room was gorgeous, warm and welcoming and breakfast was fabulous, great choice to start the day. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Zyra Catherine I popped into La Genoise Café on a whim to escape the July heatwave, and I’m so glad I did. The air-conditioning was such a relief, and the whole place had a calm, welcoming vibe. I ordered the mushroom and red onion quiche, which came with a fresh side salad, and it really hit the spot. The portion was generous, tasty, and felt like a healthy, satisfying meal. I also had peppermint tea brewed with fresh mint leaves, which was a lovely touch, and I couldn’t resist finishing with a slice of red velvet cake. Everything was delicious and super fresh. The whole meal came to just over £10, which felt like amazing value for the quality. The staff member who served me was really friendly and the service was quick. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend stopping by. ☺️
