Wild Izakaya - City of London
Olga Artjomova Wild Izakaya is one of those rare places where you start by ordering “a few things” and somehow end up trying half the menu, cause everything is that good.
The aubergine was smoky, silky and perfectly glazed - the kind of dish you keep thinking about the next day.
The sushi? Incredibly fresh, balanced, clean flavours, no overload, just precision.
Every plate we tried had depth, texture and real attention to detail. Nothing felt random or rushed.
You can tell the kitchen actually cares. This isn’t just “nice Japanese food” - it’s thoughtful, confident and seriously delicious.
London doesn’t need another restaurant.
But it definitely needed this one.
