2 /5 Ekaterina Popova: We visited Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay recently. Overall, the food was quite good. The fish was fresh, the wagyu tataki was decent, and the rice dish was rather tasty, but too much spicy. The desserts were actually excellent — probably the highlight of the meal.
However, the broccoli side dish was extremely salty and covered in too much sauce, which made it quite unpleasant.
Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The staff were polite and friendly, but the organisation was poor. When we arrived, we weren’t seated at our table straight away and were moved around without any explanation, which was confusing. When I asked the hostess if we were seated at the correct table, she responded with “Why should I know, why are you asking me?”, which felt strange and unprofessional.
There was also a billing issue: we were charged for chicken, sashimi and coffee that we ordered, but never received.
That said, the atmosphere is fun and the place has a nice vibe. On a sunny day, it could be worth visiting for the view, fresh sashimi, or desserts.
But if you’re looking for a place for a truly great dinner with attentive service, there are probably better options in London.
