Robert Wong Great authentic Portuguese dishes served in the city. Was a bit pricier than expected, but a treat especially if you havent tried their unique flavours and twists. Recommend to book in advance otherwise expect to be seated at the counter or outside!

Khost Milad (Dr) Blacklock Shoreditch was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The steak was truly outstanding in both flavour and quality – perfectly cooked, rich, juicy, and clearly prepared with real skill and care. Every bite felt deliberate and confident, exactly what you hope for from a restaurant known for meat. The sides were equally impressive and far from secondary; each one was full of flavour and thoughtfully prepared, complementing the main dish beautifully. We visited on a Friday night, and although the restaurant was very busy, everything felt calm and well organised. There was no sense of chaos or rushed service, which says a lot about how well the place is run. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient throughout. We went for the “All In” option, which was an excellent choice. It included a starter and two sides, and for two people the total came to £63 including the service charge. For the quality, atmosphere and overall experience, it felt extremely good value. A restaurant that genuinely lives up to its reputation.

Olga Artjomova Wild Izakaya is one of those rare places where you start by ordering “a few things” and somehow end up trying half the menu, cause everything is that good. The aubergine was smoky, silky and perfectly glazed - the kind of dish you keep thinking about the next day. The sushi? Incredibly fresh, balanced, clean flavours, no overload, just precision. Every plate we tried had depth, texture and real attention to detail. Nothing felt random or rushed. You can tell the kitchen actually cares. This isn’t just “nice Japanese food” - it’s thoughtful, confident and seriously delicious. London doesn’t need another restaurant. But it definitely needed this one.

Mark Katzman Market Place Food Hall at St Pauls is a hidden gem in the heart of London! The moment you walk in, youre greeted by a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere and an incredible variety of food stalls offering flavours from around the world. Whether youre craving Thai noodles, Mexican tacos, Indian curries, Japanese sushi, or Mediterranean wraps, theres something here to satisfy every taste. The prices are refreshingly reasonable, especially for such a central location-perfect for lunch breaks, casual dinners, or spontaneous meetups. You get generous portions, great quality, and fast service without breaking the bank. What really stands out is the diversity of national cuisines under one roof. Its like taking a minii world tour through food, all in one stylish, modern space. The seating is comfortable, the vibe is upbeat, and the staff are friendly and hepful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious, affordable, and exciting dining experience in the City. Ill definitely be coming back!

Elena Papageorgiou Absolutely loved Lagana. The whole vibe was amazing, great music, a lively atmosphere and super friendly staff. Every dish we tried was fantastic. The dips were incredible (especially the aubergine and spicy feta) and the chicken thigh was excellent. Honestly everything we ordered was delicious. The cheesecake was amazing, and the soft serve ice cream was also incredible both absolute standouts. Everyone on the team was lovely, but a special shoutout to Harris who made us feel so welcome. He was fun, friendly, and we really enjoyed chatting with him! He made the experience even better. Can’t wait to come back. Easily one of my favourite spots in London.

Chris Barras We dined at Burger & Lobster Threadneedle Street on Friday evening, two adults and two children, and had a genuinely fantastic experience. The food, drinks and atmosphere were all excellent, but what really stood out was the service from our waiter, Yohann. From the moment he came to the table, he engaged brilliantly with our children while remaining completely professional and polished. He struck that rare balance between being attentive without ever being intrusive. When our food was slightly delayed due to a large order, he immediately recognised that it was getting a little late for younger diners and brought out some fries as a thoughtful stopgap. It completely maintained the positive energy at the table. It is increasingly rare to find genuinely great service in restaurants, but Yohann delivered exactly that. Friendly, intuitive, professional and fun in equal measure. Genuinely brilliant! We would absolutely recommend this venue and will definitely be returning.
