5 /5 Linda Talos: A short walk from Monument or Liverpool street Tube stations,
The gold 22 at the front marks the horizon lookout and entrance and the blue 22 marks the commercial/offices entrance.
Generally you have to book a monday for the free visitors tickets or you can book the restaurants any time for a meal with a view.
You should arrive a few minutes before your booking time, the ushers will show you to the escalator that leads to the lift that goes to the 58the floor. you get out of the lift and there is a platform or mezzanine view on the 59th. You can walk down from there to the 58th floor. The view when you wall around the whole floor space is all around from Tower 42 all the way west to the city and the Thames river to the Tower of London, Butlers Wharf and east to Canary wharf and all the way to the tip of the Gherkin building. THe main floor space has floor to ceiling windows and lots of light coming in. The view is fabulous. We were there on a clear and partially sunny day and it was perfect. In the middle they have a coffee and cocktail bar that is open from 11 to 6pm daily, they have some stylish chairs and tables to have your drink and pastry. We had a latte and a mocha, they were both very good, but based on the standard of the coffees I am sure the cocktails are worth trying too. Everything is slightly cheaper than comparable drinks in nearby spitalfields, I am uploading the menus so you can see prices. They have standard and alternative milk (oat and soy). I also talked to the ushers about the restaurants upstairs (on the 60th Floor) . There are currently 2 open, the lucky cat which is an Asian inspired restaurant and the High also a Gordon Ramsey, I assume this is the more high end restaurant, and there is a 3rd coming (also by Gordon Ramsey) this year. On the way out the lift takes you to the back of the building so its not the same as the entrance. Its definitely worth coming and checking the view out.
