What Clients Are Saying St Bartholomews Gatehouse (GG)
3 /5 Emese Sváb: Currently (April 2024) it is under scaffolding and almost nothing visible. Even an old building needs some maintenance. We just wanted to have a look from outside.... Next time..
5 /5 Mr.P: Stunning example of Tudor London at its best.
Tour guide noted the outside panelling had been concealing until, in 1917, a bomb from a Zeppelin blew away the brick facade, revealing what we see today.
5 /5 Matt H: A stunning piece of Tudor architecture that acts as a gatehouse towards St Bartholomew’s church. This is a stunning site and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
5 /5 Smilynn Z: It was nice to have somewhere tranquil in the city but kind of hidden away from the bustling city. There was band playing while I was there during lunchtime. Quite nice.
5 /5 Mitch John: Beautiful area. Tudor buildings survivors of the Great Fire of London. Gatehouse was a Montessori school and more recently starred in the movie 4 weddings and a funeral. Plenty of great pubs in the neighbourhood.
Short walk from Skygarden and St. Paul’s cathedral.
